Latest Trends in Bathrooms
The latest concept/styles preferred for bathrooms today are open bathrooms, extremely spacious as consumers take special care of their personal space and do like to spend their ‘quality’ time. Great lighting, lots of mirror work, windows, good vanity systems and colors for the bathroom preferred are white these days, but this again depends on the décor of the home, the bathroom compliments the interiors.
Bathrooms can be kept simple with quality tiles that are available today at economical rates. One can also keep the shower area really simple with use of the latest pipes that are available today.
The pipe collection today for Bathrooms also comes with great benefits. If we want a simple shower, we need a major system of big and small pipes to take the water from the lake to your house through the heater and finally through the shower over the body.
Now it is not a shower, it is a waterfall; it is a thick stream of cleansing fresh water. Wall or floor-mounted version, with or without progressive ceramic cartridge mixer red handle.

Another upcoming trend is the placement of bath tubs in the centre of the bathrooms. Glass walls between the bedroom and bathrooms make spaces look more open and big. An extended outdoor shower accentuates the entire look as well.

Floor Tiles are all about a clean and contemporary look

Easy to maintain products are preferred in today’s fast moving world wherein individuals have very little time therefore Tile makers are offering materials which give flexibility of easy-to-clean to save on your valuable time & energy. Contemporary tiles are a big hit amongst the target consumers. These tiles add opulence to one’s home and give them an opportunity to flaunt their beautiful floor which is a compliment to the interior of their house. The wooden tiles trend has been gaining momentum and one can choose various styles, size and color from them.

Floor tiles give you the liberty to utilize them in your kitchen, bathroom, entryway or other spaces and are extremely durable, wear-resistant, and easy to care for. An array of colors, patterns, shapes, and sizes are available. Tiles larger than 12 inches square are currently the most popular choice. The delicate and minimalist nature of the designs makes them all the more compelling to watch and become a mesmerizing spectacle.

One can stick to a minimalistic look; straight line furniture on a wooden floor tiling makes a room look expansive and warm at the same time. The colors for floor tiles have to be kept simple if one wants to create drama with furniture in a room. A heavy design printed floor tile with bulky furniture will look odd so one has to create a striking balance to maintain a warm look for one’s space. Your entire home will look elite when the living room is properly accessorized. Right kind of mix and match of colors, designs and styles offers great variety although you can’t just put different styles and colors together randomly. If you are tiling your living area, then you can opt for rich and exotic collection of natural stones like marbles or granite.

Technologies like digital imaging and ink-jet printing are transforming tiles like porcelain and ceramic, giving them the looks of marble, granite, agate, malachite, terrazzo, limestone and wood. Using minimalist design the tiles are given animated life as part of your abode, where carefully placed geometric light patterns augments the floor space and adds opulence to your home.

We have noticed a rapid increase in customers requesting environmentally conscious flooring as well. Luckily, as customer demand has grown, so too have the options; there’s now a huge array of eco-friendly alternatives to the conventional floors you may already have underfoot.

From tiles, to reclaimed wood, to bamboo and many other products the eco friendly flooring possibilities are seemingly endless. It is also a good way for both builder and homeowner to show their commitment to a safer and cleaner world.

You can create a dazzling floor, help the environment and benefit the health of your family as well. All for prices that are in line with non eco-friendly products!

Give your home a touch of Europe
Making good design accessible to everyone, wherever they live, is a fundamental belief that I follow in my work at Creo, says ‘Parushni Aggarwal, Creative Director, Studio Creo.
Here are her easy ideas on how to give your home a European touch.
Try to incorporate open kitchens. The kitchen is the place where the family gets together. In this fast paced world, accessibility to the kitchen gives the family more time together, specially the working women.
Have bathtubs in the centre of the bathroom. This will enable an open and expansive sense of space as you spend some much-needed time relaxing and unwinding from life and all your troubles.
Use soft colors with pastel shades. Colors play a pivotal role in the design and style of a home. Use soft colors with pastel shades to provide a light and calming space, which can also be unique and inspiring.
Use minimalistic furniture. The furniture needs to be straight lined as this modern touch wil expand your space. Bulky furniture items make a space look congested and small. Try to invest in furniture pieces that can play multiple roles.
Use mirrors in the house.  Mirrors make space look large, besides enhancing the lighting at night. They give an open and multi dimensional feel to the entire space.
Mood lighting can transform any space. Be it a large living room or a corner of your study, mood and indirect lighting can help blend all aspects and give warmth to your room.
Choose right floor tiles. Light shades make the place look larger, roomier. This is an easy way to enhance the lighting effects.
Use floral accessories. Think European and you always get transported to the Victorian era. Wild or delicate flowers in soft pastels adorning the space in chinaware, cushions and bedspreads, is a beautiful way to give your home the personal European touch.

Tiles have reached an advance level in people’s home and are also a fashion statement for several others. As there are numerous changes in the tile industry.  Tiles are undergoing quite a few experiments and changes to get the best out of them. The tiles used in the kitchen go through a long process by designers, engineers and technicians to finally reach products that are elegant, classy and highly artistic. Their benefits are tremendous and are in great demand in modular kitchen for their simple user friendly mechanism. With a fast paced daily schedule, today people don’t have time for cleanliness and these tiles come handy as they are easy to maintain.

The latest trend for modern kitchen today is islands with corner units, L-shaped kitchen formats, and parallel set of cabinets on both sides, and open kitchen that extended to a living room, most preferred by Indian families.

From a design perspective, tiles in a modern kitchen should have very less texture on the floor. This would prevent collection of dust particles that would otherwise be difficult to maintain. Cleaning will require various mediums that will drain out efforts and time. The textures and patterns can be made more traditional. This further will revolve around the dependency of the décor of the kitchen – It may include the colors, space plans, and accessories used to name a few.

Large tiles with light color pattern make any space look bigger and accentuate the small spaces. This is done by providing it with a very spacious look. A lot of individuals also prefer some stone finish on their tiles.  Be it the floor or walls, tiles today have cooked up a storm as the latest trend for modern kitchen.

Modular kitchens help make cooking a joy not a job.

If there is one room in a house that has seen the most remarkable change in recent years, it has to be the kitchen. This is mainly due to the advent of the modular concept that has shown how easy it is to get a clutter free and well organized kitchen, be it in a small space or a spacious one.

As the name suggests, a modular kitchen is made up of pre-fabricated modules wherein the complete kitchen as designed and fabricated as separate components that are customized to the clients need. These components include cabinets, wall and floor tiles, workshop, appliances, accessories and hardware.

But the best part? They can be shifted from one house to another. All you need to do is dismantle the modules and then reinstall them in your new kitchen according to its space specification. There is a clutch of companies offering modular concepts in the market today but the Italians clearly rule the roost. Boffi a premier Italian interiors concept brand known for its kitchen bath and storage system, is banking on the trend and has entered the Indian market with path breaking designs because Indians are now exposed to global trends and have the means and mindset to spend on aesthetically pleasing, yet functional interiors, says the company’s CEO Roberto Gavazzi.

All our kitchen are made taking into account the individual needs of every home and are exclusive in designs, which are not repeated. Besides the cuisine of Italy and India are quite similar to each other so there we have had no problem in understanding the needs and modifications, ‘Gavazzi adds.
